Angular Distance and Energy Spectrum Data

Description

This data set is proprietary and not for distribution. It is submitted by experimenters to NSSDC for the purpose of the Coordinated Data Analysis Workshops (CDAW). The data sets submitted for CDAW are usually small, and the time coverage is usually scanty within the time span indicated. However, this data set (or part of it) may be provided to the general science community through an online data set in CDF format. These experimenter-supplied, angular distribution and energy spectra data are on binary magnetic tape created on an IBM 370 computer. The records are unblocked with a length of 312 bytes each. The data consist of time in year, day, hour, minutes, seconds; bit rate flag; solar wind proton number density, bulk velocity, and proton temperature; solar wind longitude, measured from the sun direction; most probable thermal speed of solar wind protons; solar wind measured; distribution function for the 64 energy-per-unit-charge channels; and solar ecliptic satellite coordinates. This data set was submitted for input to Coordinated Data Analysis Workshops and consequently only contains discrete periods during the time interval covered.
