aTool - THE UDF ARCHIVE MANAGER

All functions pertaining to the administration of a UDF distributed archive are provided through the UDF Archive Manager known as aTool. This includes the creating and configuring of UDF archives, configuration of the archive Server, modifying configurations of existing archives, and displaying, adding, and deleting archive content. In some cases there are more convenient and automatic methods of accomplishing these tasks but if necessary they can all be carried out from within the aTool.

aTool was installed as part of the Server Kernel Software Package and can be updated through the UDF AutoUpdate facility. The package name for aTool is unsurprisingly ATOOL.

This document will cover the features and usage of aTool. A description of archives themselves, their structure and contents is deferred to the section Archive Internals later in this document. The two sections are connected through a liberal use of hyperlinks.
