This directory carries IDL scripts and other files of interest to the
WAVES experiment datasets from the WIND s/c. The datasets may be accessed thru
ftp://nssdcftp.gsfc.nasa.gov/. 

The datasets are 1-min averaged of spectrograms of radio noise in the
frequency band 10 kHz-50 MHz, aprroximately, splitup into sub-bands named
TNR, RAD1, and RAD2. They are IDL-saved binaries. After downloading any of theose
IDL-saved binaries, run the wavesdsp.pro to enable spectrograms.


The composite data from all these 3 bands may be
accessed as a CDF or ASCII version from http://cdaweb.gsfc.nasa.gov. In that
site one can also produce spectrograms.
