The main directory,/ orbits carries the following annotated subdirectories. THE FILES IN MANY SUBDIRECTORIES MAY HAVE BEEN COMPRESSED THRU A "GZIP" COMMAND. THEY CAN BE UNCOMPRESSED BY "GUNZIP" COMMAND FOLLOWED BY THE FILE NAME. THE UTILITY FOR "GUNZIP" MAY BE AVAILABLE IN WWW. The files in /norad are 2-line elements grouped under the name of each spacecraft. For example, AKEBONO.EL provides the element sets for Akebono s/c. The files in /imp8 are related to the orbital positions of IMP 8 since its launch in 1973 thru its last operational year, 2001. The file in /ccsds carries the latest collection of CCSDS IDs assigned by the WDC-for-Satellite Information (formerly, WDC-A-R&S). The IDs enable packet telemetry identification. The /sampex carries weekly instrument status reports of SAMPEX s/c, in a file named sampex_opp.txt; a subdirectory /tennis that carries routines to process Level-1 data from SAMPEX. The /wind carries IDL routines to display the 1-min averaged IDL-saved spectrograms in the 10 kHz-50 MHz band from the WAVES expeeriment from the WIND s/c. The directory, impact_parameters carries data of the perpendicular distance between any pair Sun-spacecraft lines. Horly values as weel as daily-averaged values are listed. The spacecraft are the solar wind monitors, imp8, wind, and ace.
