Introduction

The UDF plot application provides a means for displaying data stored in either UDF or IDFS format. The application may be installed through UDFLibrary.

The basic features of the plot application are:

• contains multiple plot formats (spectrogram, histogram, contour and more)

• multiple plot formats may be displayed concurrently on a single page

• can access and display all classes of UDF data (status, sensor, ancillary)

• up-front menu allows access to a large range of plot options

• menu is saved as an ASCII file which allows menu files to be easily shared among users

• defined menus can be saved for later use and/or modification

• multiple output options including X-Windows, GIF, Postscript, and Tk

• runs under UNIX, WINDOWS, and MacIntosh/OS.

This manual describes the plotting options available within the UDFplot environment. Most options are grouped according to effect and each group generally has its own menu page. Menu page will be addressed individually in the following sections.
