Introduction

The UDF LIBRARIAN is an interface program between the local database of installed software and the UDF sofware archive. It allows currently installed software packages to be updated or deinstalled and new packages to be installed. This is done interactively. No package is updated, deinstalled or installed without a direct request through the UDF LIBRARIAN.

If you have customized the menu settings through the use of the Set Preferences Program the UDF LIBRARIAN front end GUI will pick up those preferences and use them. In this case the appearance of your GUI may not match the GUI appearance shown in this document.
