The UDF environment makes use of three configuration files: MakeRc, GUIrc, and UDFrc. MakeRc is a system-wide configuration files which allows compile and link options to be set, overridding the generic options which are picked up in the various install scripts. GUIrc is a system-wide GUI configuration file which sets many of the GUI display parameters. Individual copies of the GUIrc file can be created to override the system-wide defaults. The UDFrc file is a set of system-wide options used by various applications. Like GUIrc uses can set have their own individual copies to personalize the options.
